Tips & Gratuities Policy Notice
Arch Barbers is required by law under the Payment of Wages Act 1991 as amended to distribute to our employees any tips or gratuities received by us by cash means only and we are committed to our obligations under this referenced legislation and the associated SI 545 of 2022 Payment of Wages Act 1991 (Display of Notices) Regulations 2022.
This policy covers all employees at POM Hair Ltd T/A Arch Barbers. A ‘tip or gratuity’ is a payment made by a customer which they assume would be kept by the employee or shared with other employees. Tips are cash only and electronic tips are not in use.
Cash Tips Only – Electronic Tips are not in use
Tips will be paid directly to employee themselves from the customer by cash or cash back only in a manner that has been agreed with our staff.
Tips are the responsible of the employee and cash tips are counted as earnings for income tax purposes, and it is the employee’s responsibility to make proper disclosure to revenue in respect of these earnings.
